Method
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a bundt pan generously.
- Cream the softened butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Add dry ingredients to the butter mixture alternately with milk, mixing until smooth.
- Stir in the vanilla extract and pour batter into the prepared bundt pan.
- Bake for 55–60 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- For the glaze, heat butter, sugar, and water in a saucepan until dissolved. Remove from heat and add vanilla.
- Let cake cool 10 minutes, poke holes in the surface, and slowly pour warm glaze over the cake.
- Cool completely before removing from the pan.
