Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a loaf pan with parchment paper.
- Whisk melted butter and sugar together until smooth and glossy.
- Add eggs one at a time, whisking well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
- Sift in cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder. Gently fold until just combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips.
- Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 40–45 minutes, until a toothpick inserted comes out with moist crumbs.
- Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.

For an extra indulgent treat, serve warm with vanilla ice cream or dust with powdered sugar.
