Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 kg large shrimp, shell-on and deveined
  • 4 ears corn, cut into thirds
  • 400 g baby potatoes
  • 300 g smoked beef sausage, sliced
  • 1 lemon, halved
  • 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 0.5 tsp cayenne pepper
  • salt and black pepper to taste
Garlic Butter Sauce
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp chopped parsley

Method

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the baby potatoes and cook for 10–12 minutes, until tender but firm.
  2. Add the corn pieces and continue boiling for 5–6 minutes.
  3. Add the sliced beef sausage and cook for 3 minutes.
  4. Add the shrimp and boil for 2–3 minutes, or until pink and fully cooked. Drain everything and set aside.
  5. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
  6. Stir in Cajun seasoning, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne, lemon zest, and lemon juice.
  7. Add the drained shrimp, potatoes, corn, and sausage directly into the skillet. Toss well to coat everything in the garlic butter sauce.
  8. Sprinkle chopped parsley over the top, squeeze fresh lemon juice, and give it one final mix before serving.

Notes

Adjust cayenne and Cajun seasoning to your spice preference. Serve with lemon wedges for extra brightness.
