- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
- In a large skillet, cook ground beef, onion, and garlic over medium heat until beef is browned. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in the cheddar cheese soup and half of the shredded cheddar. Mix until combined.
- Spread beef mixture into the prepared baking dish. Top evenly with frozen French fries.
- Bake uncovered for 30–35 minutes, until fries are golden and crispy.
- Sprinkle remaining cheddar cheese over the top and bake for 5 more minutes, until melted. Garnish with pickles if desired, and serve hot.
Notes
You can swap cheddar cheese soup with cream of mushroom or cream of chicken for a different flavor. Serve with ketchup, mustard, or burger sauce for dipping!
