Ingredients
  

Base
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 yellow onion diced
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
Sauce & Pasta
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 cups uncooked pasta elbow or small shells
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • ketchup & mustard to taste (optional)

Method
 

  1. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat if needed.
  2. Add the onion and garlic, cooking for 3–4 minutes until softened.
  3. Stir in the tomato paste, salt, and pepper. Cook for 1 minute.
  4. Add the beef broth, milk, and pasta. Stir well and bring to a simmer.
  5. Cover and cook for 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is tender.
  6. Remove from heat and fold in the shredded cheddar cheese until melted and creamy.
  7. Optional: stir in a small squirt of ketchup and mustard for authentic sloppy cheeseburger flavor.

Notes

For extra flavor, add pickles or top with crispy fried onions before serving.
