- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cream together butter, peanut butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add egg and vanilla extract, mixing until fully incorporated.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture until a soft dough forms.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized portions and roll into balls.
- Place dough balls on the baking sheet and gently press with a fork to create a crisscross pattern.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes, until edges are set and centers are soft.
- Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For extra flavor, sprinkle a little sugar on top before baking or add chocolate chips to the dough.
