- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a muffin tin with paper liners.
- In a large bowl, combine mashed bananas and melted butter until smooth.
- Add brown sugar, granulated sugar, egg, and vanilla extract. Mix well.
- Sprinkle in baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. Stir to combine.
- Gradually add flour and mix until just incorporated to avoid overmixing.
- Fold in chocolate chips and walnuts if using.
- Spoon batter into muffin cups, filling each about 3/4 full.
- Bake for 18–22 minutes or until golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool for 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, add a handful of nuts or swap chocolate chips for berries!
