Ingredients
  

Cookie Dough
  • 1/2 cup butter softened
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter creamy
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
Mix-ins
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cream together the butter, peanut butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the wet mixture.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  6. Scoop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto the baking sheet. Slightly flatten.
  7. Bake for 8–10 minutes or until set. Let cool on the sheet before transferring.

Notes

For extra peanut butter flavor, swirl a teaspoon of peanut butter on top of each cookie before baking.
