Chocolate Peanut Butter Dream Bars

Ingredients
  

Crust
  • 2 cups crushed chocolate sandwich cookies
  • 6 tbsp unsalted butter melted
Peanut Butter Layer
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup whipped topping
Chocolate Topping
  • 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

  • 8x8 pan
  • Mixing bowls

Method
 

  1. Line an 8x8 pan with parchment paper.
  2. Mix crushed cookies and melted butter. Press firmly into the pan to form the crust.
  3. Beat cream cheese, peanut butter, and powdered sugar until smooth. Fold in whipped topping.
  4. Spread the peanut butter layer evenly over the crust.
  5. Heat chocolate chips and heavy cream until melted and smooth, then pour over the peanut butter layer.
  6. Chill for at least 3 hours or until fully set. Slice into bars and serve.

Notes

Add chopped peanuts on top for extra crunch, or drizzle with melted peanut butter before chilling!
