Ingredients

Cookie Dough
  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs room temperature
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
Mix-Ins
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup toffee bits
  • 1 cup red and green chocolate candies (M&Ms) holiday mix
  • 1 cup crushed pretzels

Equipment

  • Mixing bowls
  • Electric Mixer
  • Baking Sheets
  • Parchment Paper

Method

  1. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  2. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Mix in vanilla extract.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture until just combined.
  4. Stir in chocolate chips, toffee bits, M&Ms, and crushed pretzels until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
  5. Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes to prevent spreading.
  6. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough and place them 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake for 9–11 minutes, until edges are golden brown but centers are still soft. Cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

These cookies are endlessly customizable—swap the mix-ins for whatever you have on hand, like white chocolate chips, nuts, or crushed potato chips for even more crunch!
