Ingredients
  

Cookie Dough
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 box vanilla cake mix
For Coating & Topping
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • red and green holiday sprinkles

Method
 

  1. Beat the softened butter and cream cheese together in a large bowl until smooth and creamy.
  2. Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until fully incorporated.
  3. Gradually add the vanilla cake mix and beat until a thick, sticky dough forms.
  4. Cover and refrigerate the dough for at least 30 minutes.
  5. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  6. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions, roll into balls, and coat generously in powdered sugar.
  7. Place cookies on the baking sheet, add sprinkles on top, and bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are set.
  8. Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Do not overbake—these cookies should remain soft and gooey in the center for the best texture.
