Ingredients

Garlic Butter
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter softened
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp parsley chopped
  • 1/4 tsp salt
Sandwich
  • 4 slices bread white or sourdough
  • 4 slices cheese cheddar, mozzarella, or American
  • black pepper to taste

Equipment

  • Skillet
  • Spatula

Method

  1. In a small bowl, mix softened butter with minced garlic, parsley, and salt until well combined.
  2. Spread the garlic butter evenly on one side of each bread slice.
  3. Place two slices of bread, buttered side down, in a skillet over medium heat. Add cheese slices and a pinch of black pepper on top.
  4. Top with the remaining bread slices, buttered side up.
  5. Grill for 3–4 minutes per side, pressing gently with a spatula, until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  6. Slice and serve hot, optionally with tomato soup or a side salad.

Notes

For extra crunch, sprinkle a bit of grated Parmesan on the buttered sides before grilling. You can also experiment with different cheeses for a fun flavor mix!
