- Place the thawed hash browns in a clean kitchen towel and squeeze out as much excess moisture as possible.
- Transfer the dried hash browns to a mixing bowl.
- Add flour, egg, grated onion, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
- Shape the mixture into small, flat patties using your hands.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Carefully place the patties into the hot oil, leaving space between them.
- Cook for 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove the patties and drain on paper towels.
- Serve hot, garnished with parsley if desired.
Notes
For extra crispiness, be sure to remove as much moisture as possible from the hash browns. These patties pair well with eggs, sour cream, or a dipping sauce.
