Method
- Preheat the air fryer to 370°F (190°C) for 3–4 minutes.
- In a large bowl, combine breadcrumbs and milk. Let sit for 1 minute until softened.
- Add ground beef, onion, garlic, egg, tomato paste, Worcestershire-style sauce, salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and thyme.
- Mix gently until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Shape the mixture into a compact loaf that fits your air fryer basket.
- Brush with olive oil and spread ketchup evenly on top.
- Place the meatloaf on parchment paper or in an air fryer-safe pan and air fry for 18–22 minutes, until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
- Let rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, you can mix a little ketchup and tomato paste together for the topping. Leftovers reheat well in the air fryer.
