Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 small onion finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/3 cup ketchup
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire-style sauce non-alcoholic
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Method
 

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 370°F (190°C) for 3–4 minutes.
  2. In a large bowl, combine breadcrumbs and milk. Let sit for 1 minute until softened.
  3. Add ground beef, onion, garlic, egg, tomato paste, Worcestershire-style sauce, salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and thyme.
  4. Mix gently until just combined. Do not overmix.
  5. Shape the mixture into a compact loaf that fits your air fryer basket.
  6. Brush with olive oil and spread ketchup evenly on top.
  7. Place the meatloaf on parchment paper or in an air fryer-safe pan and air fry for 18–22 minutes, until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
  8. Let rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, you can mix a little ketchup and tomato paste together for the topping. Leftovers reheat well in the air fryer.
