- In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Spread cheesecake mixture evenly on four slices of bread. Top with chopped strawberries and another slice of bread to form sandwiches.
- In a shallow bowl, whisk egg and milk together. Dip each sandwich into the mixture, then coat with breadcrumbs.
- Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Fry sandwiches until golden brown on each side, about 2 minutes per side.
- Remove from oil and drain on paper towels. Let cool slightly.
- Dust with powdered sugar and drizzle with chocolate syrup before serving.
Notes
Try swapping strawberries for blueberries or raspberries for a fruity twist. These sandwiches are best served warm and crispy!
