Gingerbread Rice Krispie Treats

Ingredients
  

  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 10 oz marshmallows about 1 package
  • 3 tbsp butter unsalted
  • 2 tbsp molasses
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg

Equipment

  • Large Pot
  • Spatula
  • 9x13 Pan

Method
 

  1. In a large pot, melt the butter over low heat. Stir in molasses and spices until fragrant.
  2. Add marshmallows and stir until fully melted and smooth.
  3. Remove from heat and quickly stir in the Rice Krispies cereal until evenly coated.
  4. Press mixture firmly into a greased 9x13 pan. Let cool for at least 30 minutes.
  5. Cut into squares and serve. Optionally, drizzle with white chocolate for decoration.

Notes

For extra festive treats, use cookie cutters to shape them into gingerbread men or stars!
