Method
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, combine melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Whisk until smooth and creamy.
- Add eggs and vanilla extract to the butter mixture and mix until fully combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients and mix until a soft dough forms.
- Fold in the chocolate chips evenly throughout the dough.
- Cover the bowl and refrigerate for 30 minutes for thicker, gooier cookies.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Scoop 1.5 tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto the baking sheet, leaving space between each.
- Bake for 9–11 minutes, until the edges are golden but centers are still soft and gooey.
- Let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack. Enjoy warm!
Notes
For extra gooey cookies, slightly underbake them and let them cool on the tray. Add a sprinkle of sea salt on top for a gourmet touch!
