Ingredients

  • 4 hot dogs cut in half
  • 1 package crescent roll dough
  • 16 edible candy eyes or use mustard dots

Equipment

  • Baking Sheet
  • Parchment Paper

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cut each hot dog in half. Then slice each end lengthwise to create four 'legs' on each side, leaving the middle intact for the body.
  3. Wrap a thin strip of crescent roll dough around the middle of each hot dog to form the spider's body.
  4. Place on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes until the dough is golden and hot dogs are cooked through.
  5. Remove from oven and let cool slightly. Add candy eyes with a dab of mustard or ketchup to stick them in place.

Notes

If you can’t find candy eyes, use dots of mustard, ketchup, or cream cheese for the eyes. Serve with spooky dips like bloody ketchup or green guacamole for extra fun!
