Homemade Easy Cheesy Pizza Pockets

Ingredients
  

Dough
  • 1 can refrigerated pizza dough store-bought or homemade
Filling
  • 1 cup pizza sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup pepperoni slices optional
Finishing
  • 1 egg beaten, for egg wash
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning for sprinkling on top

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface. Cut into 8 equal rectangles.
  3. Spoon a bit of sauce, mozzarella, and pepperoni onto one side of each rectangle.
  4. Fold the dough over the filling and press edges with a fork to seal.
  5. Brush each pocket with beaten egg and sprinkle with Italian seasoning.
  6. Bake for 15–20 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  7. Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy!

Notes

You can swap pepperoni with veggies, sausage, or just keep them extra cheesy. These also freeze well for a quick reheat snack!
