Ingredients

Chicken Wings
  • 2 lbs chicken wings split into flats and drumettes
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
Honey Lemon Pepper Sauce
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tbsp lemon zest
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tsp coarse lemon pepper seasoning
  • 1/4 tsp chili flakes optional

Equipment

  • Baking Sheet
  • Parchment Paper or Wire Rack
  • Saucepan

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a wire rack.
  2. Pat the wings dry thoroughly with paper towels to help them get crispy.
  3. Toss wings in a bowl with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  4. Arrange wings on the prepared sheet in a single layer and bake for 40–45 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  5. To make the sauce, melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
  6. Add honey, lemon zest, lemon juice, lemon pepper seasoning, and chili flakes. Simmer 1–2 minutes until smooth.
  7. Transfer finished wings to a bowl and pour the warm sauce over them.
  8. Toss well until fully coated and glossy.
  9. Serve immediately and enjoy the sweet, tangy, peppery flavor.

Notes

For extra crispiness, broil the wings for 2–3 minutes at the end. You can also air fry the wings at 400°F (200°C) for 18–20 minutes.
