Ingredients
  

Pasta Base
  • 350 g penne or rotini pasta
Meat & Aromatics
  • 300 g ground beef
  • 6 slices beef bacon or turkey bacon chopped
  • 1 small onion diced
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
Sauce & Seasoning
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 1/4 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp mustard
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • salt and pepper to taste
Toppings
  • 1/2 cup cherry tomatoes halved
  • 2 green onions chopped
  • fresh parsley for garnish

Method
 

  1. Cook pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the beef bacon or turkey bacon until crisp. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add olive oil and sauté the onion and garlic for 2–3 minutes.
  4. Add the ground beef, season with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika, and cook until browned. Stir in ketchup and mustard.
  5. Reduce heat to low and pour in the heavy cream and milk. Simmer for 3–4 minutes.
  6. Add cheddar and parmesan cheese, stirring until melted into a smooth, creamy sauce.
  7. Add the cooked pasta, cherry tomatoes, and half of the crispy bacon. Toss well to coat.
  8. Simmer for another 2 minutes, allowing flavors to combine.
  9. Serve topped with the remaining bacon, green onions, and fresh parsley.
