Lofthouse Christmas Truffles

These festive no-bake truffles use frosted sugar cookies (like Lofthouse Cookies) mixed with cream cheese, rolled into balls, dipped in candy melts and topped with Christmas sprinkles—perfect for holiday dessert trays.

Total Time 40 minutes
Servings: 12 truffles
Course: Dessert
Cuisine: American

Ingredients

Cookie base
  • 10 frosted sugar cookies (e.g., Lofthouse)
  • 4 oz cream cheese (softened)
Dipping & decoration
  • 12 oz green candy melts or other color of your choice
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil helps thin the chocolate for dipping
  • Christmas sprinkles for decorating after dipping

Equipment

  • Mixer or food processor
  • Baking sheet lined with parchment paper
  • Microwave-safe bowl (for melting candy melts)

Method

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  2. Place the frosted sugar cookies in the bowl of a stand mixer or a large mixing bowl (or use a food processor). Crumble them until you have fine crumbs.
  3. Add the softened cream cheese to the cookie crumbs and mix until you have a smooth paste-like dough.
  4. Scoop out about 1½ tablespoons of the mixture (or use a medium cookie scoop) and roll into smooth balls. Place the balls on prepared baking sheet.
  5. Chill the truffle balls in the fridge for about 10 minutes so they firm up.
  6. While they chill, melt the candy melts with the coconut oil in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth.
  7. Using a fork (a plastic one with the middle prong removed works well), dip each truffle ball into the melted candy, letting excess drip off, and place back on parchment-lined sheet. Immediately sprinkle with Christmas sprinkles.
  8. Allow the dipped truffles to set for about 15 minutes at room temperature (or chill briefly) until firm. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

Feel free to switch up the candy melt color or sprinkles to match any holiday theme (e.g., red/white for Valentine’s, orange/purple for Halloween).
