Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup long-grain white rice
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese freshly grated
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley finely chopped

Method
 

  1. Rinse rice under cold water until clear and drain well.
  2. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter with olive oil.
  3. Add garlic and sauté briefly until fragrant.
  4. Stir in rice and toast for 1–2 minutes.
  5. Add chicken broth, salt, and pepper and bring to a gentle boil.
  6. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer until rice is tender and liquid absorbed.
  7. Remove from heat and rest covered for 5 minutes.
  8. Fluff rice and stir in Parmesan cheese until creamy.
  9. Garnish with parsley and serve warm.

Notes

For extra richness, add an additional tablespoon of butter before serving.
