Ingredients
  

Crust
  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/3 cup butter melted
Filling
  • 1 package instant vanilla pudding mix 3.4 oz
  • 1/2 cup cold milk
  • 1/2 cup root beer chilled
  • 1/2 tsp root beer extract
  • 1 container whipped topping 8 oz, thawed
Garnish
  • whipped cream for topping
  • maraschino cherries optional

Method
 

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs and melted butter. Press mixture firmly into the bottom of a pie dish to form the crust. Refrigerate while preparing the filling.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together pudding mix, milk, root beer, and root beer extract until smooth and thickened.
  3. Fold in the whipped topping gently until well combined and fluffy.
  4. Spoon filling into the prepared crust, spreading evenly.
  5. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until set.
  6. Top with whipped cream and cherries before serving.

Notes

For extra root beer flavor, drizzle a little root beer syrup over the pie before serving. Keep chilled until ready to enjoy.
